Owl...

I saw a picture on Pinterest of little crocheted owls. They were so cute I had to try and make one. I searched the picture back to original person who posted it, but no pattern was to be found. So, sitting at my computer, I crocheted and took out stitches (over and over) until I came up with something that looked similar to me. I used Sugar and Cream cotton yarn, used french knots for the eyes and embroidered the nose.

He is so cute...

  7. Hey there Laura!! Such an adorable pattern and I admire you for spending all that time working to figure it out. That's quite a task!! I love owls and they also have a special meaning to me since my Mema loved them so much but it's so hard to find free patterns for them and I have some projects I want to work on with owls and this one is the perfect size for the one I'm currently working on. I was wondering if there was any way I could get the pattern from you. I would SO greatly appreciate it!! Thanks so much and I really love your blog by the way!

It's not mine, I stumbled upon it same as you, but you can give props to the creator and compare your version to hers! Yours looks very close if not the exact same.

    1. While I appreciate you trying to protect someone else's work, you do not have the right to tell me I have stolen someone else's pattern.

If you look at the link you posted for me to see, the guest post on that blog was written on August 15, 2012. And, if you go to her website you will see she posted her pattern on November 4, 2012.

You can read above, my post is from January 31, 2012 and my pattern was posted on February 4, 2012 - both more than 6 months before.

There are MANY owl patterns on the internet right now, all very beautiful. Unless it is your pattern that you assume has been taken, you should not accuse people of stealing...

  9. Actually, the one on your link does not match Laura's. Laura's is much cuter!

    3. Hi Laura,
Thank you so much for sharing your pattern. I am always hunting the internet for patterns and I totally love your little owl pattern and appreciate that it is free. It is too bad that some people have to spoil something so generous. Just want you to know that I really do appreciate it. Please keep sharing and hopefully those anonymous people go and bother someone else.
      Thanks again :)
